Matthew Fry is a professional musician & composer and teaches songwriting and composition at Neath Music Academy.
Matthew has been writing and producing music for over a decade. When not playing live bass or guitar, Matthew writes and produces his own music. From 2007 until 2012 he was part of the electronica band, Friends Electric; his music has been played extensively on Radio 1 and BBC television. Matthew has also produced official remixes for artists such as Ellie Goulding and The Noisettes.
Matthew’s experience in music is strengthened by his working knowledge of the industry, and he is a Bachelor of Arts graduate in Performance Industries, for which he studied at The Academy of Music and Sound, Glasgow.
During lessons, students can showcase and share musical ideas in a relaxed, friendly environment, with the help and guidance of an experienced songwriter and musician. Structure, dynamics, style and melody will be focused upon in order to enhance the student’s project. Students will also be learning to work within the Apple Logic DAW production environment.
“During my lessons, I support my students’ own creativity, helping them to develop their ideas whilst building confidence and expanding their musical knowledge”. Matt Fry.
